I officially hate Jim Morrison
-He stumbles out of the closet he'd claimed ages back, leaning tiredly on the doorless frame while he yawns and rubs at his eyes. Strangely enough, there seems to be a bit more room than he remembers between his little resting spot and the nearest coffee table. After a moment or two, he decides to go about it logically and walks forward, counting the steps.-

11? Hm.

-It's certainly more than before; he knows that for sure. And that's not the only thing there's more of.-

-Realizes what this means for him.-

-Actually moans aloud as he realizes he's going to have to re-check every last old one, as well as the new ones. He sighs and starts with the one that has appeared to the left of the closet. It opens and all manner of things fall out--books, kitchen spices, cravats, a few... embarrassing notes and pictures, and as much tea as he could possibly ask for. Of course, having something spill that much out means he's somewhat buried beneath it all. He doesn't even know what kind of room it really is, as he can't see it from his vantage point on the floor.-

*Briskly* Excuse me for interrupting, Franziska, but I think I am correct in deducing that this is a case of mistaken identity. I can personally vouch for the character of this particular version of Phoenix Wright, and I can assure you that of all the versions here, he is the least likely to have any need to commit petty theft.

*He turns his head to Nick and lowers his voice*

I need to talk to you. Right now. About Trucy.
Nick Reeveghostshield on February 18th, 2008 12:12 am (UTC)
He nods fervently at Edgeworth's defense of him, then pauses.

Trucy? I don't know what this is about, but... all right, I'll follow you.
Miles Edgeworth, Professeur de Loi: Glasses Sadprofesseurdeloi on February 18th, 2008 12:27 am (UTC)
Out of earshot of Franziska*

Has Trucy spoken to you about her "Papa Phoenix" at all?
Nick Reeveghostshield on February 18th, 2008 12:51 am (UTC)
Eh? No, she hasn't. that'd be one of the older, "scruffy" versions, wouldn't it?
Miles Edgeworth, Professeur de Loi: Sidelong Lookprofesseurdeloi on February 18th, 2008 01:10 am (UTC)
No, it is not. It would seem that the hired killer has appointed himself her new father since she came into the house. He's also been involving her with Dahlia Hawthorne, and God only knows what they have to talk about.

...oh, bloody hell.

He sort of staggers a bit, steadying himself against a wall.

What... what're we supposed to do? If she's formed an attachment to him, breaking the news to her would...
Miles Edgeworth, Professeur de Loi: Facepalmprofesseurdeloi on February 18th, 2008 01:38 am (UTC)
I... don't know. I can't tell her. I barely know her, and even if I did I wouldn't tell her.

Keep her away from him I suppose. I can't think of anything else to do.

I have no idea what he thinks he's doing. I will not tolerate him dragging a small child into... whatever he's planning. Or to be forcing her to spend time with Dahlia Hawthorne.
Nick Reeveghostshield on February 18th, 2008 01:49 am (UTC)
*sigh* She seems to be entertained by helping me look at the new doors. Maybe I can keep her busy for a while. Though I don't know how long I can keep that up.

Heh. Makes me wish I could adopt her instead. We've got schools in the Nexus and, well, I'm apparently going a bit "ahead of schedule" so to speak ANYWAY...
Miles Edgeworth, Professeur de Loi: Facepalmprofesseurdeloi on February 18th, 2008 02:18 am (UTC)
I must admit it did occur to me that if the worst comes to the worst you might be able to get her out of here. But then, that would risk her not being returned to her own world, presumably.

Do what you can to keep her occupied - she seems to like you. I suppose we'll just have to keep an eye on the pair of them.

I'm angry with myself for believing him yesterday. I don't even trust myself to speak with him right now.
Nick Reeveghostshield on February 18th, 2008 06:32 am (UTC)
Yeah, and who knows how that might mess with the course of events on her world. Damnit.

I'll try my best, though there's only so much I can do if she's really attached to him right now.

Heh. If I had a dollar for every time I had to say something like that in my life...
Miles Edgeworth, Professeur de Loi: Facepalmprofesseurdeloi on February 18th, 2008 01:23 pm (UTC)
I know. *Briefly rests his hand on the other's shoulder*

Just... do your best.

*His smile is humourless*

There are very few people I believe in. Phoenix Wright has been an exception to that rule since he saved my life. I never expected to be in a position where I considered him a threat, and even if he is...

*Shakes his head*

I can't imagine ever harming him. I don't want to have to choose.

Neither do I, Edgeworth. But when it comes down to a choice between protecting my friends or not facing down my fears...

He looks off to the side a bit, then back, determined.

...then I know which choice I'm going to choose every time.
Miles Edgeworth, Professeur de Loi: Chillingprofesseurdeloi on February 19th, 2008 02:06 pm (UTC)
I'm... not afraid of him. Although I'm aware that is entirely illogical.

*Small smile* I would never expect you to say otherwise.
